AXIS Metadata Monitor is a tool to capture and visualize this metadata stream produced by an Axis device. The metadata stream is a complementary stream that can be used to retrieve additional information about the device's current state. This can for example be used to include real-time notifications of device events and PTZ positions in a client application, and for enhanced search functionality using video analytics data. Metadata streaming functionality is included in Axis products with firmware version 5.50 or higher.
