Installing Axis Printer Ports in
Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Server 2003
Follow the instructions below to add a network printer to a client workstation.
Step 1 of 4
Notes:
- Make sure your print server is properly connected and that it has a valid IP address before you start.
See the user guide for information on how to do this.
- Windows XP Professional is described in this example.
- The IP addresses, drivers, etc. used here are examples only.
Make sure you use the specific values that apply to your configuration.
- Windows XP:
Go to Start | (Settings) | Printers and Faxes and click the
Add a Printer icon to start the Add Printer Wizard. Click
Next.
(Windows XP Home Edition:
Choose Start | Control Panel | Printers and Faxes | Add a Printer to start the Windows Add Printer
Wizard)
Windows 2000:
Go to Start | Settings | Printers and click the Add Printer
icon to start the Add Printer Wizard.
Click Next.
- Select Local Printer attached to this computer.
Make sure the 'Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer' check box is
NOT checked.
Click Next.
