About VAPIX
VAPIX provides functionality for requesting images, controlling Pan Tilt Zoom, controlling input/output ports, retrieving and controlling internal settings, managing events, recording and retrieving video to/from the SD card, and much more. Almost all the functionality available in Axis products can be controlled using VAPIX. Some functions, such as retrieving Bitmap images, are only supported via VAPIX.
VAPIX is continuously being developed and is the main interface to our products. Keeping the API stable and backwards-compatible is our top priority, as it allows easy integration of current and future products.
