This compact network reader offers a complete interface to control one door in a sleek, IP-powered design. Ideal for any environment, it enables seamless touch-free access and installs fast with just one PoE cable—saving time, cost, and cabling.
Fast installation with scalable access control
AXIS A4610 Network Reader is designed for fast, hassle-free installation. A single device manages the entire door, including the lock, REX and door position sensor—reducing hardware complexity. With IP connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE), it connects directly to the nearest network switch using a single pigtail cable for both power and connectivity. With no need to wire back from the door controller to the reader, it offers streamlined, cost-efficient installation with less cabling. This also makes it easy to add more readers and scale your access control system as your needs grow—with support for up to 16 readers per door controller.
Secure and easy remote management
AXIS A4610 comes with built-in cybersecurity features for secure and easy onboarding and integration and to prevent unauthorized access even in the event of a security breach. You’ll also benefit from remote maintenance possibilities over the network, with lower costs and higher security. For instance, you can grant and control access rights, update software, change configurations, and manage your device – all from anywhere in the world. And, for added peace of mind, it includes tamper detection, so you’ll know if there's any attempt to interfere with the device.
Mullion-mount design with end-to-end integration
Featuring a mullion-mount design, AXIS A4610 is ideal for installation in indoor and outdoor areas where you’re tight on space and it fits perfectly in narrow areas and door frame installations. Plus, the glass front panel is scratch-resistant, so you can be sure it’ll remain scratch-free even after years of daily use. This IP reader is compatible with most RFID credentials, such as AXIS TA4711 Access Card and AXIS TA4712 Key Fob for secure and seamless touch-free entry. What’s more, it's part of an Axis end-to-end solution and designed to work optimally with Axis network door controllers.
