For enhanced security

The 2N Security Relay is a smart, tamper‑resistant accessory engineered to safeguard door lock control in high‑risk environments. By isolating lock power and activation from the AXIS A46 series IP reader, it provides a vital security layer against common physical attack methods—including voltage injection, cable short‑circuiting, and manipulation of reader-side wiring. Installed discreetly near the door, the relay ensures the lock remains protected even if someone tampers with the cabling between the reader and the door. This localized switching of lock power eliminates exposure of critical wiring and significantly strengthens overall door security.

How it works

The device is positioned between the AXIS A46 IP reader and the electric lock. Instead of powering the lock directly, the reader sends a secure, authenticated unlock signal to the relay. If the relay detects tampering, abnormal conditions, or manipulation attempts, it immediately blocks unlocking, keeping the door fully secured.
