Available at no extra cost, this application gathers radar data and visualizes measured vehicle speeds up to 105 km/h (~65 mph) directly in your camera feed.* Plus, thanks to color-coded overlays, you can quickly identify speeding vehicles. Furthermore, radar data can be used in combination with other analytics installed on the visual camera.
Live monitoring and events
AXIS Speed Monitor is ideal for measuring vehicle speed and monitoring unsecured roads. It collects and processes radar data and presents the data as visual overlays in the camera feed. This means you can display the speed in real-time. By combining this solution with public view monitors, you can send live messages asking speeding drivers to slow down. The data can also be used to trigger other events such as activating strobe lights, triggering alarms, starting camera recordings, and more.
Benefit from forensics and statistics
This solution offers an efficient way to gather actionable data to make more informed decisions about the monitored road. The data can be exported as a CSV-file for creating comprehensive graphical overviews. For instance, about the number of vehicles passing per day, and their speed. This ACAP application is free and works on Axis cameras (for complete listing, go to the compatibility section). It also requires AXIS D2110-VE Security Radar with firmware 10.12 or newer.
Note!
AXIS Speed Monitor requires manual calibration and configuration to make the include zone created on the radar match the live view from the camera.
SD card is needed to collect statistics.
