Unite video and audio in XProtect
From familiar XProtect interfaces, administrators can use integrated audio management software and set up automated actions to allow for timely, accurate responses to real-time events, often without immediate operator intervention. Operators can monitor and manage video and audio from a single interface – no more switching software. They receive alerts if an incident occurs and can see and hear what’s happening and speak to the scene in real time. Built into XProtect Update Manager, this main audio module for AXIS Optimizer ensures the performance of an extensive range of Axis IP audio devices, including horn, ceiling, pendant, strobe, and display speakers as well as intercoms.
From simple to advanced audio
AXIS Audio Manager for XProtect offers three operating modes (Legacy, Edge, and Pro). They support every audio management need from live and prerecorded announcements on individual speakers to complex, enterprise-wide audio systems with up to 5,000 speakers and 500 zones. Both Edge and Pro modes support scheduling, background music, ads, live paging, prioritized zone-specific messaging, and user role management. With message prioritization, critical messages always get through when needed. What’s more, you can easily scale audio capabilities based on operational complexity, site size, and real-time communication needs – all managed directly within XProtect.
