Puy du Fou enhances visitors’ safety and experience with Axis network technology
For over 15 years, Puy du Fou has been relying on security solutions from Axis Communications. Twice voted “Best Park in the World”, the park has implemented a comprehensive security system to safeguard visitors, staff, and assets.
Spellbinding and safe
Since its founding in 1977, Puy du Fou has established itself as a unique artistic concept, offering historical spectacles and memorable experiences across the world. Twice voted “Best Park in the World,” the park draws millions of visitors annually with over 20 daytime and nighttime shows, themed hotels, villages, and restaurants. Behind the scenes, a robust security infrastructure ensures that guests and staff can enjoy the magic safely.
In 2008, with the installation of a single camera, Puy du Fou began its journey with Axis. Since 2015, this partnership has been strengthened with the support of I3S Intégration, a subsidiary of the Ensio group. Today, the park has expanded its surveillance system to 570 cameras, providing comprehensive and secure coverage across the entire site.
At the heart of its digital transformation, the park is deploying a range of Axis products and solutions to secure and optimize the welcome of its 2.8 million annual visitors. Among these advances are the AXIS P4707 dual-lens cameras with a 180° panoramic view, offering the possibility to estimate or apprehend pedestrian flows to optimize visitor reception.

Cinematic performance meets intelligent surveillance
The Cinéscénie is one of the world's largest nighttime show and has undergone a significant technological transformation in recent years. To ensure the safety of its 13,200 spectators and coordinate the performances of 4,000 volunteers, a network of three monitoring stations was deployed.
Furthermore, the show itself has evolved through the integration of new advanced technology. A major milestone was reached in 2017 with the introduction of drones into the show's scenography. This technical achievement required the installation of high-performance Axis cameras from the P14 and P13 series, capable of precisely tracking the drones at distances of up to 350 meters and altitudes of 150 meters.
Effective logistics management
The Puy du Fou is also optimizing its logistics management. Indeed, on the three most frequented access points for light and heavy vehicles of its suppliers and service providers, Axis network speakers allow surveillance agents to guide drivers, streamline traffic and preventing congestion.
This global vision allows for more effective coordination between the different teams involved in the park, wether it's security, logistics or show management. Moreover, by 2025, 80 to 100 additional cameras will be installed to meet the park's development needs, particularly with the expansion of the "Villa Gallo-Romaine" hotel zone, which will double the number of rooms available to visitors. At the heart of its digital transformation, the park is deploying a range of Axis innovations to secure and optimize the welcome of its 2.8 million annual visitors.
For over 15 years, we have been aware of the reliability of our security system. Thanks to Axis and I3S Intégration, we are now using cameras in a more intelligent way. In many situations, we have succeeded in significantly reducing the analysis time of incidents that would have required significant resources. We rely on these two historical partners to accompany us in our future projects
