How it works

Vaxtor's LPR & OCR solutions integrate by running as high-performance analytics applications (ACAP) directly on Axis cameras. This edge-based approach leverages the camera's onboard processing power to analyze video streams in real-time, recognizing everything from license plates to container codes or aircraft tail numbers. 

By performing all analytics on the camera itself, the solution minimizes network bandwidth and eliminates the need for costly external servers. Recognized data, along with rich metadata like GPS position and timestamps, can be used for on-camera white/black lists or sent to any major VMS or back-office system for further action.
