How it works

Observit runs as an ACAP application directly on Axis cameras, turning each device into an edge computing node. Video is recorded locally on encrypted SD cards, eliminating the need for onboard recorders. The platform enables secure remote access and live streaming over low bandwidth. Cameras are centrally managed, configured, and updated over-the-air via Observit’s cloud-agnostic platform. Seamless integration with Axis, as well as Milestone and Genetec VMS platforms, ensures scalability, cybersecurity, and reliable operation.
