How it works

Sentry deploys as a native ACAP application on compatible Axis cameras, analysing live video feeds using four layers of AI: advanced analytics, self-learning, deep learning, and generative AI. The self-learning engine builds a behavioural baseline unique to each camera and scene, detecting deviations without requiring pre-configured rules. When an event is detected - intrusion, fire and smoke, a fall, PPE non-compliance, or unusual behaviour - an alert is pushed to the Sentry Event Management Server, where deep learning verification filters noise and confirms genuine incidents. Verified alerts are delivered to operators via the Sentry Web Client or existing VMS integrations in real time. The entire system runs on top of existing Axis infrastructure, with no cameras or VMS platforms replaced.
