CountIQ installs directly onto Axis cameras as an ACAP, so people and vehicle detection runs on the camera rather than on a server. Counts, zone occupancy and threshold events are processed and buffered at the edge, so the system keeps counting through network or cloud outages and reconciles automatically once connectivity returns. Only lightweight metadata leaves site over outbound TLS — no video, no inbound ports — which lets cameras remain on private, segregated networks in hospitals, government facilities and critical infrastructure. That metadata syncs to the CountIQ platform, hosted in Australia under ISO 27001 and SOC 1-3 controls, where teams see live occupancy tiles, zone counts, heatmaps and automated reports. Because it deploys onto an existing Axis fleet, a site is typically counting within a day with no new cameras or cabling.
Please note that this is a third-party solution; it is neither provided nor endorsed by Axis, which fully disclaims any responsibility for it.
DDI Labs is an Australian technology company that builds AI automation on top of the physical security infrastructure organizations already own. Our products — CountIQ, SiteInspector and ParkEase — turn cameras, LPR and access control into operational data for enterprise, government and critical infrastructure clients across Australia and internationally. As an Axis Technology Integration Partner we develop natively on the Axis platform, shipping ACAPs that run on-camera rather than bolt-on servers, and we work alongside Axis integrators to deliver deployments that meet strict network and data-handling requirements. Your cameras. Our AI. Your workflows.
