AXIS OS 13 is now available as a preview build specifically for lab and staging environment validation. This release introduces breaking changes; developers and integrators should use this checkpoint to identify system dependencies and compatibility issues before the production release.
Critical Action Required: You must remove Axis Device Diagnostics from your devices before installing this preview to prevent system upgrade failures.
 
High-Level Testing Focus:
  • Management & Compatibility: Identify issues with device management workflows and ACAP compatibility.
  • Known Blockers: Currently, AXIS Device Manager 5, Axis Cloud Connect, and several audio speaker ACAPs (e.g., AXIS Audio Manager Pro) are incompatible.
  • Media & UI: Validate video/audio playback and rotation-related device behavior, as these areas have known limitations in this build.
     
Future Updates: Subsequent versions of this preview will include bug fixes, expanded product support, and device data hub integration.
