TrafficCounter runs directly on Axis cameras as an ACAP application, using Axis Object Analytics to detect and classify people, vehicles, and bicycles crossing defined lines. Counting data is organized into independent groups, each with its own schedule and destination, then transmitted to retail or city analytics platforms in real time. Because all processing happens on the camera, no additional servers are required and privacy is maximized by design. Built-in support for legacy Axis reporting protocols means existing infrastructures keep working without disruption. A web-based interface lets operators monitor live counts, review historical statistics, and manage configuration from any browser.
