This course uses hands-on exercises where we will teach you how to design a network video surveillance system that takes into consideration surveillance goals, camera placement, light levels, and video analytics apps. You will get to know the tools Axis offers to facilitate the design process.

Course objective

After completing the course, you will:

  • Be familiar with the cornerstones of a network video surveillance system
  • Understand how product selection and camera placement affect usability of a system
  • Know how to make decisions about products and product placement based on customer needs
  • Know how to use Axis tools to facilitate the design process
  • Understand how to use VAPIX to communicate with Axis products
  • Know how to take security aspects of a surveillance installation into consideration

Prerequisites

We recommend that you join a Network video fundamentals course before attending this classroom.
