Public safety grant opportunities

Supports law enforcement agencies looking to build, enhance or expand a body worn program. This grant is a great way for agencies to improve public safety initiatives, including improving community-police relations and accountability, deter misconduct, and capture audio-video evidence. 

Funding available for state and local governments to enhance violent crime prevention and reduce service gaps across law enforcement, courts, and corrections. Eligible uses include technologies like video security, LPR, digital evidence solutions, and public safety software.

Enhance public and firefighter safety by equipping and training emergency personnel, improving operational efficiencies, and supporting community resilience. Funding is available for Operations and Safety activities, including training, PPE, facility modifications, and equipment.

Aims to enhance security and resilience in high-risk urban areas. Its goal is to strengthen capabilities to prevent, prepare for, protect against, and respond to acts of terrorism by addressing security gaps, boosting interagency coordination, and bolstering critical infrastructure.

Provides crucial funding to state, local, tribal, and territorial levels. Its purpose is to build capabilities, enhance national resilience to absorb and recover from all types of incidents, and implement State homeland security strategies.

Funding for essential facilities in rural areas and towns (up to 20,000 population). Funds support constructing, improving, or equipping facilities for healthcare, public safety, and community services. Priority is given to projects in small (under 5,000), low-income communities, especially those focused on healthcare, public safety, or public/community services.
