Axis Software Specific License Terms for AXIS OS

All your use of AXIS OS (the “Software”) will be governed by Axis General Software License Terms and these Software Specific License Terms for AXIS OS (these “Terms”), collectively referred to as the “Agreement”. These Terms shall prevail in case of any conflict with Axis General Software License Terms. Any terms used and defined in Axis General Software License Terms that are used in these Terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in Axis General Software License Terms. Any references to Firmware in the Agreement shall include AXIS OS.

    Axis product software, referred to as “AXIS OS”, “Firmware” or “Axis Firmware”, is software that determines the functionality of an Axis product. When downloading AXIS OS, the Axis product will receive the latest available functionality. Latest available AXIS OS releases can be found on

    By downloading, installing, activating, accessing or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms as part of the Agreement. If you are executing this Agreement on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to legally bind that entity. If you do not have such authority or you do not agree to these Terms, neither you nor the entity is permitted to and must not download, install, access or use the Software.

    The following apply to the Software and replaces what is set out about updates and upgrades in the General Software License Terms.

    This Agreement does not automatically entitle you to updates and upgrades of the Software. Axis may however, from time to time and at its sole option, provide patches, bug fixes, corrections, updates, upgrades, support and maintenance releases or other modifications to the Software, which items shall be deemed part of the Software and be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

    AXIS OS includes Third-Party Software and Open Source Software. The applicable Third-Party License Terms and Open Source License Terms are available via the Axis product web interface.

    In addition, the below license conditions for ARM Ltd (“ARM”) apply with respect to any Third-Party Software from ARM included in Axis’ products:

    You acknowledge and agree that the use of ARM’s software object code is subject to your fulfilment of the following conditions: (a) ARM is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement and may enforce its rights directly against you; (b) you may not reverse engineer, decompile, adapt or alter the software object code; and (c) your use of ARM’s software object code is restricted to executing software which is solely for use with the intended Axis’ ASIC as further specified in the Third-Party License Terms available via the Axis product web interface.

    You hereby acknowledge and agree that each licensor of Third-Party Software is an intended third-party beneficiary of this Agreement, and shall be entitled to directly enforce the terms of this Agreement with respect to the Third-Party Software of such party, as applicable.
