Compodium integrates its Distans telemedicine platform with Axis cameras mounted in ambulances and other emergency vehicles to give hospital teams a live view of the patient on the road. The crew starts a call from a tablet, and the Axis camera streams encrypted video while two-way audio and video let the crew talk directly with emergency physicians, dispatchers and on-call specialists, who join from any browser or phone. Clinicians assess the patient, guide treatment and pull further specialists into the same call. The Axis unit reports its status continuously, so the operations centre always knows which vehicles are ready. The Distans application on the main unit and all fleet settings are managed centrally, with all data hosted in Sweden under ISO 27001.
Please note that this is a third-party solution; it is neither provided nor endorsed by Axis, which fully disclaims any responsibility for it.
Compodium is a Swedish software company that builds secure communication tools for the people who carry society: healthcare, public sector and defence. Our platform is developed, hosted and owned in Sweden, certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, and trusted by regions, municipalities, government agencies and healthcare providers across the Nordics. With Distans, we combine Axis cameras with secure two-way video so ambulance crews and hospital teams can treat patients together from the first minute.
