Built into AXIS Optimizer and XProtect Update Manager, it's easy to install, use, and scale from simple setups to complex multi-site environments. Axis offers a full range of network speakers, microphones, and intercoms, alongside advanced audio management software. Plus, the solution integrates with the XProtect Rule Engine to trigger proactive audio responses based on real-time events.

Installation

AXIS Audio Manager for XProtect is the audio management module within AXIS Optimizer. Both solutions are now included in XProtect Update Manager, which can be used for first installations and all subsequent updates. This helps save time and effort by keeping all software installation tasks within familiar XProtect software.

Set up and configure

Admin roles handle all setup inside the XProtect Management Client, where they use AXIS Optimizer Speaker Manager to configure devices, audio zones, schedules, and more across individual zones or advanced multi-site systems. From XProtect Management Client, you can add-on additional capabilities, such as automated audio alerts, synchronized background music, and live paging to specific zones.

Daily operations

This united solution integrates video with live and recorded audio, allowing operators to see and hear what’s happening and speak to the scene in real time for superior situational awareness. It supports real-time incident response through clear voice messages, synchronized audio-visual investigations, and using XProtect Incident Manager you can create structured auditable evidence trails. Upgrade and maintenance

The system regularly checks for new versions and notifies you when updates are available. Users with administrator rights receive notifications in the Smart Client and can manually update AXIS Optimizer from within XProtect Update Manager.
