You can also configure devices as needed. For example, you can switch off the microphone on a device with two-way audio, apply privacy masking, or choose between live streaming vs. recording. Additionally, because you control access to all recordings, HIPAA compliance is a matter of ensuring secure storage, properly configuring permissions, and setting and communicating rules for when recordings can be viewed or shared.
Fall detection and prevention
Unintentional injury from falls is the second most common cause of death worldwide. Axis network solutions help protect the people in your care. When an analytics-equipped camera detects a fall-risk individual out of bed, an alert is sent to staff. The system can even be configured to trigger a voice message to the individual’s room asking them to return to bed and wait for assistance. And when someone does fall, man-down analytics help ensure that staff is notified for a quick response, improving outcomes. As a result, staff can reduce nightly room checks, patients sleep better and fall less, and care facilities lower costs.
