Certified for Zone and Division 1
Axis explosion-protected cameras are designed and certified for use anywhere in the world, from arctic to desert climate, with a full range of power and network connectivity. Our globally certified Class I/II/III Div 1 and Zone 1,21 (according to ATEX, IECEx, cMETus, and more) cameras can be used in Zone and Division 1 hazardous areas. Axis cameras certified for Zone and Division 1 provide many benefits within health and safety applications as well as operational efficiency. For instance, with smoke alert analytics preinstalled they can monitor for signs of smoke or fire in potentially combustible environments.
For tough environments
These robust, high-quality cameras have heavy-duty enclosures, produced with stainless steel or thick aluminum. With ‘Ex d’ (flameproof) or ‘Ex t’ (dustproof) protection, they can safely contain an internal explosion and prevent the external release of energy. This means they prevent sparks from igniting vapors, gases, dust, or fibers and flyings in the surrounding potentially combustible atmosphere.
