Axis signed media verifier is a free, browser-based tool available for anyone. Upload your video files and the tool will check for a signature on every frame and provide an answer in seconds.
Quick and independent validation of your video evidence
The verification process uses the signed video feature to determine whether the files are authentic and have not been tampered with. Any change in a pixel from the original will invalidate the video authenticity.
When a video is successfully validated, the user gets a detailed test report including for example hardware ID, serial number, OS version, and manufacturer. It's also possible to play the video within the tool.
Examples of use cases are law enforcement and courts, that can verify the authenticity of the video independently of the camera vendor and the owner of the camera.
