Axis Communications’ Receives Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award
Axis Communications is honored to recieve this year’s Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award which was presented at a ceremony on March 24, at ISC West, Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award recognizes companies in the security industry who make important contributions to those in need. Mission 500, a nonprofit organization that works closely with the security industry to serve the needs of children and communities in crisis in the United States, recognized Axis for the dedication of its employees and the hours they volunteered to local communities.
During 2021, Axis employees donated more than 2,000 volunteer hours to a variety of causes, including serving at soup kitchens, sorting clothing and household donations for families in need, planting trees, donating blood, picking up litter around neighborhoods, supporting the construction of homes for deserving families, and much more. Additionally, Axis employees donated supplies to local school districts in July and holiday gifts for families in December.
“Social responsibility is a key focus for Axis Communications, and with the establishment of our Global Social Council in 2020 and the dedication of our local community service committee, we’ve been able to more clearly define goals, inspire employees and drive initiatives,” said Fredrik Nilsson, vice president, Americas for Axis Communications. “We’re very honored to recieve this award from Mission 500, and extremely proud of the dedication and giving spirit of our employees who have made such a positive impact on their surrounding communities.”
The Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award is given each year to a deserving company in the security industry. Judging includes an assessment of each nominees corporate social responsibility (CSR) program on various criteria including effectiveness, overall involvment of personnel, sustainability and long-term impact.
