Axis Communications has been recognized by the Security Industry Association (SIA) for innovation in electronic physical security. In a virtual award ceremony on June 17, 2021 Axis earned the 2021 SIA New Product Showcase Award for its Axis plugin for Autodesk Revit in the Design, Diagnostic and Installation Tools category. The NPS awards program is conducted in partnership with ISC West where the security industry’s most cutting-edge products, technologies and solutions are featured each year.
Axis plugin for Autodesk® Revit® allows users to plan entire surveillance systems directly in Revit building plans by giving users the ability to add cameras or other products quickly and easily to the plan. The plugin is fully integrated into Revit projects with quick access to a wide variety of Axis products as realistic 3D models. The models provide complete 3D visualizations of CAD design, giving a simple, intuitive way to configure and verify coverage areas. The plugin also includes an embedded product selector tool to help choose the right product based on specific security needs directly in the platform.
