Axis Communications honored with three 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards

American Security Today recognized multiple Axis solutions with top honors for the seventh year in a row.
 

Axis Communications was honored to receive three 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today for its solutions. American Security Today’s Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, and in its Seventh Year, is specifically designed to honor distinguished government and vendor solutions that deliver enhanced value, benefit, and intelligence to end-users in a variety of government, homeland security, enterprise, and public safety vertical markets.

“‘ASTORS’ nominations are evaluated on their technical innovation, interoperability, specific impact within the category, overall impact to the industry, relatability to other industry technologies, and application feasibility outside of the industry,” said AST’s Editorial Director Tammy Waitt.

Axis received Platinum awards for its AXIS XPQ1785 Explosion-Protected PTZ Camera and its AXIS W101 Body Worn Camera in the categories of Best Image Technologies Solution and Best Body Worn Video Project, respectively. Additionally, the AXIS D4100-E Network Strobe Siren was awarded Silver for Best Investigation/Surveillance/Detection Product.

AXIS XPQ1785 Explosion-Protected PTZ Camera is a globally certified explosion-protected positioning camera that is ideal for health, safety, environment (HSE) applications within potentially combustible areas. Using Axis Forensic WDR and Lightfinder, it can provide high quality images regardless of the lighting environment and by using Axis Zipstream, it saves on storage and bandwidth requirements. Plus, it comes with early smoke and fire detection analytics for added safety.

AXIS W101 Body Worn Camera is an easy-to-use, robust camera built on open standards for flexibility and scalability. It meets the FBI’s standards for cybersecurity and comes with signed video, so that the video can be verified as tamper free and traced back to its origin. Additionally, it has a battery life of up to 15 hours to capture 1080p video throughout the day.

AXIS D4100-E Network Strobe Siren is designed to deter intruders, increase safety, and improve operational efficiency using the power of light and sound. This fully networked device can be integrated through VAPIX®, MQTT, or SIP to solve a variety of challenges. Whether it is a parking garage or a hospital floor, AXIS D4100-E can be customized using preconfigured light and sound combinations that meet the space around it.
