Why is it not possible to downgrade firmware on my new AXIS P3247/8 camera?

Support for new hardware has been added in active track releases since 10.4.0/10.8.3/10.11.85/10.11.89.

The products with the new hardware will have a new HWID (HardwareID) and these units can't be downgraded to a firmware that is older than the active track release 10.4.0/10.8.3/10.11.85/10.11.89 (depending on HardwareID) since it does not have support for this new hardware. However these can be downgraded to 9.80.3.1/9.80.3.9/9.80.3.13 (depending on HardwareID) release on LTS track and later when available.
