Axis Communications has announced its first own-manufactured explosion-protected PTZ camera designed to monitor vast areas with pre-installed smoke and fire detection. Ideal for health, safety, environment (HSE) applications within potentially combustible areas, it offers worldwide hazardous area certifications.
AXIS XPQ1785 is a first-class positioning camera that delivers total situational awareness. It offers 1080p resolution with 32x optical zoom and a continuous 360° pan and +/- 90° tilt, both at up to 200°/sec.
The stainless steel (316L) camera is globally certified for Class I/II/III Div 1 and Zone 1,21 for use in hazardous areas (according to NEC, CEC, IECEx, ATEX, and more). Featuring pre-installed smoke alert analytics, it monitors for signs of smoke or fire in potentially combustible environments, helping to protect personnel and reduce hazards.
Key features include:
- Worldwide hazardous area certifications
- Smoke alert analytics
- Zipstream and Lightfinder
- HDTV 1080p, 32x optical zoom
- -60°C to 60°C (-76°F to 140°F)
This robust, explosion-protected camera helps safeguard production processes from a distance, helping ensure personnel are only sent into restricted, potentially explosive environments when necessary. Furthermore, because it can use 110-23V AC there’s no need for an external power supply. And, with both RJ45 and SFP ports it offers easy installation.
