Depth of field

If the scene has plenty of light, the iris opening can be made smaller, which will help improve the depth of field. However, zooming in on an object will greatly limit the surveillance opportunities in the surrounding areas, and the depth of field will often be greatly reduced. If the iris is also fully open at the same time, because of limited available light, the depth of field will be reduced even further.
