Axis Communications today announced that the company has received the Ingram Micro Award of Excellence in the Emerging Solutions arena. Axis has become an integral part of the Ingram Micro Solution Center as a leading provider of network video solutions to resellers worldwide.

"Ingram Micro is the world's largest technology distributor and a major influencer in the technology industry. We are honored to be recognized as a key contributor to their success in the emerging network video market," said Fredrik Nilsson, General Manager of Axis Communications U.S. "Through the support of partners like Ingram Micro, Axis continues to grow the market and evolve its products to remain the leader in this emerging field."

Axis is driving the development and growth of the network video market and is recognized as the leader in this space by market research groups such as Frost & Sullivan, JP Freeman and IMS Research. The network camera market is continuing to gain strength and is expected to overtake the analog (CCTV) camera.

"Ingram Micro is pleased to name Axis Communications as the recipient of the Award for Excellence in the Emerging Solutions arena," said Paul Bay, Ingram Micro vice president, vendor business management United States. "Maintaining strong relationships with partners like Axis Communications ensures that Ingram Micro remains at the forefront of the global technology marketplace."

Axis network video products are used for many applications, including security and remote monitoring. The products offer customers a cost efficient, future-proof investment and more flexibility than analog closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. Axis network video products enable off-site monitoring, higher image quality, and ease of use.
