Axis Communications today announced that it has been named by Honeywell (NYSE: HON) as a Strategic Supplier. Axis will supply Honeywell with its industry-leading network video products for installations in a range of markets including government, healthcare, transportation and education.
The Axis network video products are tightly integrated into the Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator (EBI) and Digital Video Manager (DVM). The Honeywell DVM, interfacing with Axis video servers and network cameras, gives users a scalable video management solution. Up to thousands of cameras can be managed, all based on network video over standard IP- based networks and video recording on standard server hardware and hard disks. Honeywell is also a partner in the Axis Application Developer Partner (ADP) Program.
"We are honored to be selected by Honeywell as among its top technology suppliers," said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis in the U.S. "We are looking forward to working with Honeywell in further spurring the growth of network video across all industries and markets."
Axis network video products are available through the Honeywell branch offices in solutions integrated with the Honeywell EBI and DVM software solutions. These solutions have already been installed at major state facilities, hospitals and airports.
