Total cost of ownership

A Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model captures all the costs associated with a system over its complete lifecycle. There are however very few published TCO examples within the surveillance industry.

Axis has conducted a comprehensive TCO study of an example large-scale city surveillance system using 40 costs relating to different system components and stages. The TCO presents examples of costs, and indicates areas to focus on that can help reduce costs and improve the quality of the solution.
