Axis has been named the winner of Best Use of Blogs by the Holmes Report in its IN2SABRE Awards, and listed as one of the finalists in the EMEA SABRES ‘Technology: Hardware’ category for ‘An Editorial Approach to Content Marketing’.

Both awards relate to Axis work in connecting storytelling through its owned channels – primarily the Secure Insights blog and Newsroom – and earned media coverage, in addition to supporting wider lead generation activities.

Lena Hedén, Manager Content & Communications comment, “We are honored to receive the INSABRE award and that our work has got attention outside the security industry. The editorial approach allows us to create relevant topical content about what our audience wants to read, and it integrates content across multiple channels for maximum effect: the whole is most certainly more than the sum of the parts.”

The success of the activity is measured on whether it is bringing relevant content to our readers and helping them find related material. Data backs this up: traffic to the blog grew more than 50% in 2018 over 2017, and now brings more than 11,000 visitors each month.

“We established the Secure Insights blog in late-2016, and Newsroom only last year, and some of the top read content includes the annual Technology Trends blog post (which finds its way into a number of media publications), responding to key industry issues such as GDPR’s implications for video surveillance, and having our most senior executives talking about the growing importance of ethics in business,” Lena continues.

As Axis has local presence around the world, so does the blog and Newsroom. The Newsroom is localized in 29 languages as of today and the blog is published in Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese.
