Dependable remote temperature monitoring camera helps improve operational efficiency

AXIS Q1961-TE Thermal Camera

Axis Communications announces the release of a new thermometric camera to remotely monitor temperatures. Ideal in critical situations, this robust, halogen-free device comes with early fire detection analytics preinstalled allowing users to preventively act on early signs of fire.

AXIS Q1961-TE can remotely measure temperatures from -40 °C to 350 °C (-40 °F to 660 °F). It can trigger a notification whenever temperature passes a set threshold, or if the temperature increases or decreases too rapidly. This can help avoid unwanted downtime in production caused by overheating equipment as well as enable predictive maintenance planning. With preinstalled early fire detection analytics, users can set triggers and receive warnings about early signs of fire. This analytic also offers smart filtering to reduce false alarms.

AXIS Q1961-TE supports up to 10 configurable polygonal detection areas. In addition, edge-to-edge technology makes it possible to connect a network speaker to enable audio alarms.

Key features include:

  • Polygonal temperature monitoring areas
  • Early fire detection analytics
  • Spot temperature reading
  • Built-in cybersecurity features
  • IP66-, IP67-, IK10- and NEMA 4X -rated

This temperature measuring camera includes built-in cybersecurity features to help prevent unauthorized access and safeguard the system. For instance, Axis Edge Vault protects the Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis products on the network. Furthermore, this robust, impact-resistant IK10-rated, outdoor-ready camera is IP66/67 and NEMA 4X rated for corrosion protection.
