New edge-based QR code reader for convenient access control

Simple to install and cost-effective to manage, AXIS Barcode Reader ensures streamlined access control for both single- and multi-door scenarios. It’s ideally suited to a mobile-first society: in advance of a visit, trusted guests are sent a QR code with a specific date and time of validity, which they can store on a mobile device or print. When they present the code to the camera or intercom during the valid window, relevant data is sent to an Axis door controller, granting access.

Built on an open platform, this app is compatible with third party solutions and fully integrated with AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry where operators can create and distribute credentials to visitors.
