How it works

AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller comes with a built-in software for basic access management. It is open for third-party software, allowing the unit to be integrated with solutions provided by Axis partners.

Intelligence at each door

The controller is a smart independent device that is installed by each door and data is automatically synchronized between the controllers in the system. It will continue its normal operation and buffer events locally if there is a network failure.

Supported languages

AXIS A1001s web interface (Axis Entry Manager) has multilingual support for English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

AXIS A1001 Network Door Controller is a PoE-supported controller placed at each door. It is open for third-party software, allowing the unit to be integrated with solutions provided by Axis partners.

The controller is completed with, door locks, door position sensors and standard readers (Wiegand, RS485 (OSDP)). Support for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) makes it possible to eliminate separate battery back-up for door equipment.

The Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Switch provides power to the controller over the network, reducing the need for proprietary data cables and separate power cables to door locks and readers. The switch also transfers data between the units.

If an event such as door forced open occurs it can trigger a camera to start recording. Third-party software solutions may also include integration of other systems such as intrusion detection, HR systems and building management systems.
