Then all devices in the system will get synchronized clocks. The configuration will be set when adding device, when starting the ACS server, on nightly reload and manual reload through device management tab. Limitations: - Not all ONVIF devices support setting NTP configuration. When AXIS Camera Station cannot set the configuration on an ONVIF device, a warning message will be added to the server debug log. - Configuration of time zone is not part of the NTP protocol and will not be updated when synchronizing a device clock against an NTP server. AXIS Camera Station will not set any time zone in devices automatically, because the time zones supported by the camera firmware might be different from the time zone used on the AXIS Camera Station server. - If a device used in AXIS Camera Station is unable to send network requests to the AXIS Camera Station server (for example if the camera is located on an external network and the AXIS Camera Station server is hidden behind a NAT configuration), the default NTP configuration will not work. This should be a rare system configuration for AXIS Camera Station, but if it is used, the Advanced Server setting "Enable NTP configuration" should be disabled. - If another firewall than the built-in Windows firewall is used on the AXIS Camera Station server, an exception for port UDP 123 must be configured manually * Updated installer: The installer has been updated to a slightly more modern look & feel. * Video Redaction - Generate masks: Ability to auto-generate masks in Video Redaction.  Changes made in 5.27.195 ========================= * Solved problem with authentication and NAS at Server startup. Instead, the hardware recommendation is based on the total bandwidth per server. For more information read the hardware guidelines: http://www.axis.com/products/axis-camera-station/hardware-guidelines/system Known limitations ================= With AXIS Camera Station 5: - User permissions: AXIS Camera Station 5.18 and higher display error message when adding or editing user permissions from users created in AXIS Camera Station 5.17 or lower. Restart of the AXIS Camera Station server solves the issue. - AXIS Mobile App: - No support for MPEG-4 or MJPEG. Only H.264 is supported. - Only one-way audio (from camera) - Not possible to connect to multiple servers simultaneously - iOS: Supports up to 30 fps - Playback: - After fast forward playback, frame stepping does not work very well. Most of the time, pressing the backwards/forwards step button has no effect. - Backwards frame stepping of an H.264 recording only updates the playback image when reaching an I-frame. - Seeking on the timeline of an H.264 recording gives an image of the closest preceding I-frame instead of showing the actual image at the chosen position. - Playback of simultaneous streams can be slightly out of sync - To beneficiate from the multitrack view playback in AXIS File Player, the recordings need to be done and exported with version 5.05 or above. - The current split in AXIS File Player is limited to one or four cameras only. Adding more than 4 cameras will only display the first 4 in the timeline. Other cameras can be selected from the dropdown menu. - Automatic reconnection after server upgrade: - The client will only be restarted if it is connected to a single server. Otherwise the reconnection will fail and the user will have to manually reconnect to the servers. - For the client to automatically log on the server again after the restart, the "Remember me" checkbox on the log on screen must have been checked when the server was logged on to last time. - The server needs to be fully licensed for the automatic reconnection to work. - The ACS Client needs to be 5.05 or higher In order to beneficiate from the automatic reconnection. - Hardware decoding can cause client instability when using old graphics cards or old drivers. - Users part of the "Guest" group may encounter issues when connecting to the Server. - Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are no longer supported operating systems. - Audio output to camera is only supported from firmware 5.10 - AXIS Camera Station will use the current regional settings from Windows but will not make use of any custom settings e.g. numeric separators etc. - I/O will not work with AXIS 221, 240Q, 241QA/SA, 225FD, 216FD, 214PTZ or 207W unless they are upgraded to firmware 4.40 or higher. - I/O monitor may lock on "Changing..." when toggling output state in P8221. - If a network disk is configured in AXIS Camera Station, then afterwards physically removed from the network, there is a risk that the disk can't be removed from the AXIS Camera Station configuration. - AXIS Camera Station Client installed on Windows 2008/2012 Server should only be used for configuration and not media viewing since for many graphics adapters there are no up to date drivers available for server operating systems. - DirectX 11 is required for proper rendering of three 4K streams. Windows 7 won't be able to display three 4 K streams on three monitors. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2724530 for details. - Joystick hotkeys do not work after changing language - H.265 is only supported for Axis products, not for third party cameras. - For Windows 10 N editions: The Media Feature Pack is required to install AXIS Camera Station Server and Client. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3133719/media-feature-pack-for-n-editions-of-windows-10-version-1607. Installing the standalone Windows Media Player is not sufficient. Windows 10 N editions are not part of the official Axis QA testing. - AXIS Video Content Stream (Automatically uploaded by AXIS Camera Station during Add camera wizard) should not run in parallel of AXIS Perimeter Defender due to performance limitation. Make sure AXIS Video Content Stream is “stopped” or not installed in the camera web interface > Applications. - Old cameras using firmware 4.x can only use MPEG-4 for the High profile. The Medium and Low profile need to be set to MJPEG. This is due to camera performance limitations. - Image configuration doesn't support multi-channel products properly, i.e. image configurations are fetched from the first channel only. Also changes made to any channel are applied only to the first channel. - AXIS M1065-L/LW do not support full duplex, only microphone is supported in AXIS Camera Staion. - LPCM audio encoding is not supported (LPCM is supported for selected cameras with firmware 7.20.1 and above) - Nightly Maintenance (https://www.axis.com/support/faq//FAQ116423): -Action rules using I/O trigger with I/O module (such as A9161) will trigger alarms if set to normally closed, during AXIS Camera Stations' nightly maintenance job. Use 'Device Event' trigger and trigger on the digital input, instead of using I/O trigger. 'Device Event' is available from fw 5.40 or above and for I/O module fw 1.65 or above.
