NEW SOFTWARE RELEASE ==================== Application: AXIS Video Motion Detection Release date: July 19, 2013 Release type: Production Software version: 2.1.2 File name: AXIS_Video_Motion_Detection.eap Preceding Release: 2.1 December 15, 2011 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contact Information =================== Please contact Axis Communications for product information, updates and support at http://www.axis.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Improvements in 2.1.2 =================== I:01: When using HTTPS the message “Failed to get response from server” is shown when entering configuration page. I:02: Script error when entering VMD’s help page on some firmware's. Considerations =================== CO1: Do not upgrade from prior versions unless it is really necessary. Upgrading from prior version will result to that the application will need to be reconfigured. Release 2.1.1 =================== 2.1.1 Was never released external Upload instructions =================== In the supported product's web interface, go to the Applications menu and upload this application package. Start and configure the application. For more instructions see the User's Guide. Release 2.1 ============ Compatible products =================== * Axis network cameras and video encoders with support for AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP). * Product firmware must be 5.40 or later. * See complete list of compatible products at www.axis.com Dependencies ============ To install and configure AXIS Video Motion Detection, you must have Windows, Internet Explorer, and AXIS Media Control (provided by the camera). Considerations ============== CO1: It is not recommended to run AXIS Video Motion Detection at the same time as the camera’s built-in motion detection or another Application Packages installed in the camera. This may impact behavior and performance of this application. CO2: When the application is used with PTZ cameras it will detect motion while PTZ is moving. It is possible to suppress these detections by enabling [Setup | Video & Audio | Camera Settings | Image freeze on PTZ] C03: Make sure that the product firmware is 5.40 or later. Known limitations in version 2.1 ================================ KL1: For multichannel products such as F44 and Q6000 only one channel can be used for Axis Vide Motion Detection. KL2: Enabling Visual confirmation may introduce video latency. This latency is a known limitation in AXIS Media Control version 6.1.
