NEW SOFTWARE RELEASE ==================== Application: AXIS Live Privacy Shield Release date: 2021-05-31 Release type: Production Software version: 2.0.0 Preceding Release: 1.2.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contact Information =================== Please contact Axis Communications for product information, updates and support at www.axis.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Compatible Products =================== Please contact Axis Communications for a list of compatible products. Installation Instructions ========================= In the product's web interface, go to the Applications menu and install the corresponding application package. For more instructions see the product's user manual. Preferred browsers for the configuration web page are latest version of Google Chrome and Firefox. Features =========================================== Two supported masking methods: Motion-based and artificial intelligence (AI)-based. Motion-based masking masks all detected movement. AI-based masking masks only objects classified as humans or the inverse (background). The visual appearance of the privacy mask is configurable. Privacy masking inside include areas. Possibility to not mask inside exclude areas. If multiple view areas are set up, one can be configured to have no masking applied. Setting of sensitivity. This determines the classification confidence level at which masking will be applied. AI-based masking only: Switch between masking humans or masking background. Motion-based masking only: Set prio of either FPS or mask detail. Motion-based masking only: Possibility to reset what is considered background in the stream. Motion-based masking only: Setting of background merge time, i.e. how long it should take before something masked should be considered part of the background if it does not move. New features and fixes in 2.0.0 since 1.2.1 =========================================== Introduction of a new masking method: AI-based masking. Possibility to switch between AI-based masking and motion-based masking for cameras with a deep-learning processing unit (DLPU). AI-based masking supports background masking (inverting the mask). Application no longer requires a license. A setup guide is now displayed the first time a user opens the application. Dependencies ============ AXIS Live Privacy Shield 2.0.0 requires Firmware Version 10.5 or later. AI-based masking only supported on a subset of camera models. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== L01: It is not recommended to run the application together with more than one overlay configured in the camera. L02: Motion-based masking: Combination with WDR from the camera together with an unmasked stream is not recommended as it might introduce artifacts on both unmasked/masked stream. L03: Only 16:9 aspect ratio capture modes supported. L04: Modification of the mosaic mask pixel size will affect the camera’s static privacy mask mosaic pixel size. L05: On cameras that support capture modes with different frame rates, a ‘full frame rate’ (25/30fps) capture mode should be selected for optimal performance. L06: It is not recommended/possible to have multiple ACAPs running while AXIS Live Privacy Shield is in use. An exception to this is AXIS Video Motion Detection, which will work in combination with AXIS Live Privacy Shield. L07: If selecting to have both masked and unmasked views available on models AXIS M3057-PLVE and AXIS M3058-PLVE, the expected FPS will be halved. This is a technical limitation. L08: For devices supporting the ‘Quad-and-360’ view, when selecting this view ('Live feed source' --> 'Quad' and 'System' --> 'Orientation' --> 'Quad-and-360 view'), it is recommended to keep both the ‘Overview’ and ‘Quad View’ masked to avoid partial masking in the combined 'Quad-and-360' view. L09: For the AXIS M3057-PLVE and AXIS M3058-PLVE devices, the view areas can be provided as either masked or unmasked, but not both simultaneously. L10: AXIS Live Privacy Shield is not supported in PTZ Driver mode.
