FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES ====================== Products affected: AXIS Q1602/Q1602-E Network Camera Release date: 2011-10-13 Release type: Production Firmware version: 5.40.3 File name: Q1602_5_40_3.bin Preceding release: n/a AMC version: 6.0.6.2-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ==================== The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP. Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. RELEASE 5.40.3 ============ 5.40.3 is the first official production release for the AXIS Q1602. Known Bug/Limitations ===================== 5.40.3:L01 Removing and reinserting SD card during recording is not recommendable. 5.40.3:L02 With audio enabled, the initial connection latency is increased. 5.40.3:L03 Remote back focus operation will be disabled when the temperature is too low. Information will be shown in system log. 5.40.3:L04 If using Internet explorer versions below 9 it is not possible to show complete recipient name in the ActionRules Recipient dropbox. Maximum it can show 10 characters. 5.40.3:L05 A combination of a high bandwidth continuous recording and a lot of small recodings can result in disc full. The automatic clean up will stop at the point and the user have to manualy remove recordings. 5.40.3:L06 Check and repair is only available if the file system is ext4. 5.40.3:L07 Audio stutter may occur when playing H.264 or long (several hours or days) continuous recordings. Workaround: Using the G711 codec reduces the problem. 5.40.3:L08 In an AVHS installation, the clock is not synchronized with the AVHS server which may lead to incorrectly scheduled recordings. 5.40.3:L09 Under rare circumstances no recordings are shown under Storage Overview when connecting to a network share. 5.40.3:L10 When using the H.264 rate controller with a low GOV length (e.g. 3) you can get disrupted video. Use GOV length > 7. 5.40.3:L11 "Network lost" trigger is not available in Action rule setup. 5.40.3:L12 It's not possible to download recordings bigger than 4GB from the system. 5.40.3:L13 If you set max gain to a low value, e.g. 0, the IR cut filter may not switch back on automatically. 5.40.3:L14 When action rules run, the name of the rule will sometimes be incorrectly logged in the system log. 5.40.3:L15 Using modifiers like %c in a network share upload event does not work. 5.40.3:L16 Multiple simultaneous recordings to SD cards and network shares can degrade the performance of the system. 5.40.3:L17 If the default compression is set to 50 or above when constant bit rate is enabled, the camera may fail to produce an H.264 video stream. This will be adjusted in the next firmware release.
