Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. New Features ============ 5.40.9.2:F01 Edge storage with support for CIFS/SMB (Microsoft Network share). 5.40.9.2:F02 ext4 file system support for SD Card. Axis recommends SD Card users to use the camera to format the SD Card with ext4 instead of the default vFAT. ext4 will increase recording reliability compared to vFAT. Note that SD Cards formatted with ext4 cannot be read by a Microsoft PC without installing additional ext4 drivers on the PC. 5.40.9.2:F03 The internal Event Management system has been redesigned and VAPIX has been extended with a new Event-API based on Web-Services. Utask has been removed and with that the possibility to start scripts and applications from user.task.list. The legacy user action rules in the camera will continue to work but will not be visible in the camera user interface unless converted to the new design. Event Management user interface (GUI) has been redesigned. For more information please see User's manual. 5.40.9.2:F04 Always Multicast. Provides the ability to multicast video regardless of whether clients are accessing the streams or not. 5.40.9.2:F05 ONVIF 1.02 support. 5.40.9.2:F06 Server Report download. Possibility to download a ZIP-file server report (with or without camera snapshot). This simplifies the process of attaching the server report when submitting a support ticket. 5.40.9.2:F07 Storage Management 1. Clean up policy is enabled by default and the default value for the parameter is 1 week. 2. Parameter for clean up level is in the Plain Config and default is set at approximately 90% of the storage device capacity. 3. The start time of a recording is updated when data is removed due to clean up policy. 5.40.9.2:F08 Audio Detection history graph (GUI). The audio history level graph simplifies configuration of audio detection. 5.40.9.2:F09 Port status is now located under System Options -> Ports & Devices -> I/O Ports. 5.40.9.2:F10 Added LLDP support. 5.40.9.2:F11 Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) enabling third party developers (ADP partners) to develop, download and run their applications on Axis products is included. Corrections in 5.40.9.2 since 5.15 ================================ 5.40.9.2:C01 Web services parameter is removed and thus status from the System Overview as well. ONVIF is enabled by specifying an ONVIF administrator in the Security -> ONVIF settings. 5.40.9.2:C02 RTP over RTSP over HTTP with other than default http port works as expected. 5.40.9.2:C03 It is no longer necessary to restart the camera after configuring default router parameter via VAPIX. 5.40.9.2:C04 Improved camera responsiveness. 5.40.9.2:C05 Configuration of time zone for Australia appears correctly in the web interface. 5.40.9.2:C06 It is possible to use HTTPS and port forwarding. 5.40.9.2:C07 Up to 127 characters can be used in the 'From email address' field. 5.40.9.2:C08 Corrected the SMTP authentication issue with IPv6. 5.40.9.2:C09 Improved handling of Image freeze after a pan/tilt/zoom movement is completed to shorten time before "unfreeze". 5.40.9.2:C10 Bitmap images have the same contrast as the corresponding JPEG images. 5.40.9.2:C11 Double & are no longer present in HTTP notification. The Action rule gives a valid URI. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 5.40.9.2:L01 In Internet Explorer 6, the live view may stop when pressing buttons in the live view interface. 5.40.9.2:L02 Limiting the bandwith to lower than 100kbit/s may lead to losing contact with the camera. 5.40.9.2:L03 When the camera is in RFL-mode (after a failed upgrade), flash loading it with Firefox may sometimes not work. Use Internet Explorer instead. 5.40.9.2:L04 Live view may not work with QuickTime. Try disabling direct3d acceleration in QuickTime. 5.40.9.2:L05 Events triggered by multiple input ports may not always work. 5.40.9.2:L06 Recording streams to SD Card with a total bit rate above 12Mbit/sec may cause missing frames/sequences. 5.40.9.2:L07 If a customer is trying to upload a very large file instead of a valid language file, a "404 page cannot be displayed" page is shown. 5.40.9.2:L08 The camera can not play an audio clip while a viewer is sending/ receiving audio from the camera. 5.40.9.2:L09 When the automatic IR cut filter enables/disables the IR cut filter, it may trigger motion detection. 5.40.9.2:L10 An uploaded audio clip must be less than 1.5MB. 5.40.9.2:L11 An uploaded bitmap overlay is made partially transparent unconditionally. 5.40.9.2:L12 With audio enabled, the initial connection latency may increase. 5.40.9.2:L13 No more than 4 privacy masks can be placed so close together that they are in the same view at any given time. 5.40.9.2:L14 Pan/tilt coordinate directions presented in the text overlay (#x #y) will not be rotated along with the image when rotation is 180. 5.40.9.2:L15 The image is always showed with zero rotation at the OSDI Zone Setup. 5.40.9.2:L16 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.40.9.2:L17 If RTSP authentication is switched off, streaming H.264 with QuickTime and other Apple compatible clients will not work as they require authentication of the RTSP, but do not allow HTTP authentication. 5.40.9.2:L18 A few black pixels can be seen on right edge of the picture in NTSC cameras. 5.40.9.2:L19 Color parameter has no effect when pulling RTSP stream with color=0. 5.40.9.2:L20 Frame Size Control does not affect size of the snapshot taken with the upper right control that can be added to the Live View. 5.40.9.2:L21 Constant bit rate might fluctuate more than 10%. 5.40.9.2:L22 Events triggered at the same time, will by default settings share the same filename. This may result in upload of corrupted image. 5.40.9.2:L23 It is recommended to unmount the SD Card before ejecting it. 5.40.9.2:L24 Recordings made on the SD Card with firmware version earlier than 5.20 will not be readable from the 5.40 firmware. Backup important recordings and reformat the SD Card after firmware upgrade. 5.40.9.2:L25 Check and repair is only available if the file system is ext4. 5.40.9.2:L26 When using action rule resulting in short recordings, it is recommended to extend post-event time. 5.40.9.2:L27 Date modifiers "%m-%d-%Y" are not formatted correctly when used with folder name, SMTP subject and message.
