FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES ====================== Products affected: AXIS M3014 Network Camera Release date: 2011-01-04 Release type: Production Firmware version: 5.21 File name: M3014_5_21.bin Preceding release: 5.07 AMC version: 5.9.10.0-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ==================== The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP. Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. RELEASE 5.21 ============== New features ============ 5.21:F01 Added embedded AVHS (Axis Video Hosting System) client. 5.21:F02 Added ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) support including metadata streaming over RTSP/RTP. This includes streaming of event data, PTZ position and status data, and analytics data. Dynamic web services discovery protocol as specified in ONVIF standard, which follows WS-Discovery definitions (remote discovery will not be supported), is also included. 5.21:F03 Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) enabling third party developers (ADP partners) to develop, download and run their applications on Axis products is included. 5.21:F04 Support for license handling for third party applications in ACAP. 5.21:F05 Added support for 802.1x. 5.21:F06 Functionality has been added making it possible for customer to upload a customer logotype in the live view webpage. 5.21:F07 90 and 270 degree rotation has been added. Corrected problems ================== 5.21:C01 Improvements has been made to the "Exposure priority" setting causing the value reverting to old value after pressing "save". 5.21:C02 When using the "Maximum framerate" option "Limited to ...", it was not possible to set the option back to "Unlimited" again. This has been corrected as well as a bug causing setting of the value 0 to become "Unlimited". Known limitations ================= 5.21:L01 It is not possible to use a space in the upload path for a ftp server. 5.21:L02 The effect of backlight compensation on/off may not be noticable. 5.21:L03 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.21:L04 If IPv6 is enabled while IPv4 is disabled, the DHCP options received from IPv4 are not removed. Also there is no IPv6 address in the mail body of an SMTP test mail. 5.21:L05 The NTP implementation will not synchronize to NTP servers that signal an alarm condition (clock not synchronized) in its Leap Indicator. 5.21:L06 After changing the date/time of the camera, the video stream will stop after 60 seconds with an RTSP session time out. It does not matter if the media stream is started before or after the time is changed. Workaround: Reboot the camera after the time has been changed manually or by NTP. 5.21:L07 It is not supported to configure always multicast RTP. 5.21:L08 The event combination option "Include pre-trigger buffer" and "Upload as long as the trigger is active" does not work together, only the pre-buffer is saved/uploaded. Workaround: Use post buffer as well. 5.21:L09 Sometimes when clicking on the save button after making changes to the exposure window setting, instead of the page reloading you get an error message on an otherwise empty page. 5.21:L10 When an event or event server is added, modified or deleted all running events will be stopped and restarted. 5.21:L11 There is no boundary check when entering a motion detection window name. If the name is more than 1024 charachters long, the parhand application may restart. 5.21:L12 If RTSP authentication is switched off, streaming H.264 with QuickTime and other Apple compatible clients will not work as they require authentication of the RTSP, but do not allow HTTP authentication. 5.21:L13 The AXIS Media Control client may stop displaying the H.264 video stream after the PC has been locked. Workaround: Reload the Live View page. 5.21:L14 If a customer is trying to upload a very large file instead of a valid language file, a "404 page cannot be displayed" page is shown. 5.21:L15 When the camera is under extreme network stress for a long time, H.264 clients have dropped off AMC. Workaround: Use automatic re-connect in AMC. 5.21:L16 Synching camera time with a computertime or NTP-server time that is ahead of camera time will cause clients to stop. Computertime or NTP-server time that is behind camera time is not affected. Workaround: Restart camera after having changed time. 5.21:L17 Multicast for ipv6 only works if also ipv4 is enabled.
