FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES ====================== Products affected: AXIS P5532-E PTZ Dome Network Camera Release date: 2010-10-18 Release type: Production Firmware version: 5.20.1 File name: P5532-E_5_20_1.bin Preceding release: 5.20 AMC version: 5.8.5.5-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ==================== The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 3.0, HTTP or FTP. Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. RELEASE 5.20.1 ============== Corrections in 5.20.1 since 5.20 ================================== 5.20.1:C01 Fix for ONVIF setup issue. 5.20.1:C02 List preset info when asking for ptz capabilities. Known limitations ================= 5.20.1:L01 Limiting the bandwith to lower than 100kbit/s may lead to sporadically losing contact with the camera 5.20.1:L02 An uploaded bitmap overlay is made partially transparent unconditionally (black color). 5.20.1:L03 Maximum brightness will not result in a white image. 5.20.1:L04 No more than 4 privacy masks can be placed so close together that they are in the same view at any given time. 5.20.1:L05 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.20.1:L06 If RTSP authentication is switched off, streaming H.264 with QuickTime and other Apple compatible clients will not work as they require authentication of the RTSP, but do not allow HTTP authentication. 5.20.1:L07 At the first boot-up after a factory default there are WARNING messages in the system log from the hcbd process that should be ignored. 5.20.1:L08 When the camera is shutting down there is a CRITICAL error message in the system log from process hcbd that should be ignored. 5.20.1:L09 Sending an invalid ONVIF command to the camera will put the camera in a bad state and it needs to be reset to make ONVIF work again. 5.20.1:L10 Using ONVIF, the camera declares that is supports the Normalized Digital Zoom spaces but the camera does not and should not support those spaces. 5.20.1:L11 the ONVIF command 'gotoHomePosition' will go to the home position at a very slow speed, it will not use the default speed. 5.20.1:L12 If PTZ limits are changed the camera must be restarted for the changes to be applied to the ONVIF API. 5.20.1:L13 Setting parameter PTZ.UserAdv.U1.AutoCalibration=false does not disable automatic error recovery of the camera block as it is intended. 5.20.1:L14 If PTZ Control Queue settings are changed, the camera must be restarted for the queue to work properly again. 5.20.1:L15 If a Goto Preset movement includes an AutoFlip then the image will freeze during the whole movement. When the movement is done the stream will start again. Movement will also be done at full speed, regardles of the current speed configuration. 5.20.1:L16 Enabling image freeze and panning to trigger an AutoFlip movement will result in a short glitch in the freeze (the frozen image will be updated and then frozen again). 5.20.1:L17 automatic IR Cut Filter will not work if Auto Iris is off. 5.20.1:L18 Switching Auto Iris off may lead to the IR Cut Filter being enabled/disabled. 5.20.1:L19 When the automatic IR cut filter enables/disables the IR cut filter it may trigger motion detection. 5.20.1:L20 Removing a Guard Tour while another Guard Tour is running will stop and restart the ongoing Guard Tour. 5.20.1:L21 Pan/tilt coordinate directions presented in the text overlay (#x #y) will not be rotated along with the image when rotation is 180. 5.20.1:L22 The image is always showed with zero rotation at the Motion Detection and OSDI Zone Setup. 5.20.1:L23 Some special ISO 8859-1 characters like å, ä, ö are displayed wrong in motion detection names and OSDI zone names. 5.20.1:L24 When an event or event server is added, modified or deleted all running events will be stopped and restarted. 5.20.1:L25 Event mail notifications are not sent if the mail subject string is over 128 letters long. 5.20.1:L26 Time modifiers (%A, %c and %T) does not work in Event email notifications. 5.20.1:L27 Ejecting the SD card while a recording is writing to it may lead to a corrupted file system and all data on the SD card may be lost. 5.20.1:L28 Recording to a slow SD card or with high frame rate or low compression may lead to the recording becoming "choppy" due to bandwith limitation. 5.20.1:L29 When storing media at high bitrate to the SD card the automatic cleanup may not be able too clean up at the same rate as recordingas are made and the SD card will become full. This may on occation trigger an error that puts the SD card in read-only mode and restarts the steaming application (monolith). The result is that ongoing media streams are terminated and the SD card can not be recorded to anymore until it has been remounted. 5.20.1:L30 If no Home Position is set the camera will point straight down after boot-up. 5.20.1:L31 Image freeze on may freeze the image a little too late at movements resulting in a frozen image with some motion blur. 5.20.1:L32 60Hz model has a few pixels wide black column at the side of the image. 5.20.1:L33 Zoom response when using the mouse scroll wheel in AMC is very slow when you scroll the wheel very fast. 5.20.1:L34 Pan/tilt/zoom control response using Java Applet can be very slow on some browser/JRE/OS combinations. 5.20.1:L35 Pan/tilt/zoom control does not work using Java Applet if the Control Queue is enabled. 5.20.1:L36 Live view may display screen tearing (horizontal cut-lines) most prominent when panning the camera. 5.20.1:L37 Firefox can sometimes show white image flicker at the bottom of the video stream. This occurs on Windows XP and Windows Vista with Firefox versions 3.6.3-3.6.6 (possibly on later versions aswell). 5.20.1:L38 When the camera is in RFL-mode (after a failed upgrade), flash loading it with Firefox will sometimes not work. Use Internet Explorer instead. APPLICATION DEVELOPER Information ================================= The AXIS VAPIX Application Programming Interface is supported by the AXIS P5532-E. The following groups are supported by the AXIS P5532-E. For more information, please refer to the AXIS VAPIX HTTP API specification version 3, part of the AXIS VAPIX API, available at www.axis.com.
