Note that, SSH is not enabled by default. 5.50.2:F15 Full duplex audio support. 5.50.2:F16 Support for SMTP over SSL. 5.50.2:F17 Continuous recording and recording list filter on GUI. 5.50.2:F18 Edge storage with support for CIFS/SMB (Microsoft Network share). 5.50.2:F19 ext4 file system support for SD Card. Axis recommends SD Card users to use the camera to format the SD Card with ext4 instead of the default vFAT. ext4 will increase recording reliability compared to vFAT. Note that SD Cards formatted with ext4 cannot be read by a Microsoft PC without installing additional ext4 drivers on the PC. 5.50.2:F20 The internal Event Management system has been redesigned and VAPIX has been extended with a new Event-API based on Web-Services. Utask has been removed and with that the possibility to start scripts and applications from user.task.list. The legacy user action rules in the camera will continue to work but will not be visible in the camera user interface unless converted to the new design. Event Management user interface (GUI) has been redesigned. For more information please see User's manual. 5.50.2:F21 Always Multicast. Provides the ability to multicast video regardless of whether clients are accessing the streams or not. 5.50.2:F22 Storage Management 1. Clean up policy is enabled by default and the default value for the parameter is 1 week. 2. Parameter for clean up level is in the Plain Config and default is set at approximately 90% of the storage device capacity. 3. The start time of a recording is updated when data is removed due to clean up policy. 5.50.2:F23 Audio Detection history graph (GUI). The audio history level graph simplifies configuration of audio detection. 5.50.2:F24 Port status is now located under System Options -> Ports & Devices -> I/O Ports. 5.50.2:F25 Server Report download. Possibility to download a ZIP-file server report (with or without camera snapshot). This simplifies the process of attaching the server report when submitting a support ticket. Corrections in 5.50.2 since 5.25.1 ========================================= 5.50.2:C01 Daylight saving time now works properly for Iran. 5.50.2:C02 ISO 8859-1 characters are displayed correctly in motion detection names and OSDI zone names. 5.50.2:C03 Up to 127 characters can be used in the 'From email address' field. 5.50.2:C04 It is possible to add IP addresses to the IP filter list in the web interface. 5.50.2:C05 When a PTZ VAPIX call to ptz.cgi is done with several commands including the unsupported ones, the correct commands will be executed instead of being discarded. 5.50.2:C06 It is now possible to use HTTPS and port forwarding. 5.50.2:C07 It is no longer necessary to restart the camera after configuring default router parameter via VAPIX. 5.50.2:C08 Configuration of time zone for Australia appears correctly in the web interface. 5.50.2:C09 Double & (&&) are no longer present in HTTP notifications. The Action rule gives a valid URI. 5.50.2:C10 ONVIF: The Web Services parameter and consequently the information in System Overview relating to whether Web Services is enabled has been removed. ONVIF is enabled by specifying an ONVIF administrator in Security > ONVIF settings. 5.50.2:C12 Accessing the AVHS portal through a proxy is now working. 5.50.2:C13 Date modifiers "%m-%d-%Y" are now formatted correctly when used with folder name, SMTP subject and message. 5.50.2:C14 Corrected an issue that could block PTZ control completely which required a reboot of the camera to make it possible to control it again. 5.50.2:C15 The error condition encountered when creating two similar action rules (or by a copied action rule) has been fixed. 5.50.2:C16 Network share size will now be displayed as GB if less than TB in the web interface. 5.50.2:C17 Setting Always multicast TTL (Time To Live) to '0' is now working as expected. 5.50.2:C18 Fixed behavior for serial cgi “writestring=”. 5.50.2:C19 Use of IPs starting with 169.154.x.x is now properly reserved for link-local addresses. 5.50.2:C20 The #e modifier now displays proper event names. 5.50.2:C21 The Edge Storage disc utilization has been improved, this will also result in increased video retention time especially for larger discs. 5.50.2:C22 Correct network speed is now displayed when using SNMP network speed check. 5.50.2:C23 The Log message 'RTSP Login Failed' that relates to client RTSP commands after the nonce has expired has been removed, since the behavior is correct. 5.50.2:C24 PTZ cameras: Fixed an issue where the tilt engine was sometimes on after move. 5.50.2:C25 Fixed an issue with the Axis Name Service and some router models. 5.50.2:C26 Triggers set up for some Axis-Compatible Camera Applications failed after a firmware upgrade was performed. This now works properly. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 5.50.2:L01 Recording streams to SD Card with a total bit rate above 12Mbit/sec may cause missing frames/sequences. 5.50.2:L02 Multiple simultaneous recordings to SD cards and network shares can degrade the performance of the system. 5.50.2:L03 Windows Network Shares do not handle all modifiers e.g. %c, since modifiers are UNIX standard. access rights. 5.50.2:L04 If the device has ongoing continuous recordings and the device is restarted using the restart option in web interface, the current part of recordings(block) can not be accessed or downloaded through the web interface. 5.50.2:L05 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.50.2:L06 Recordings made with firmware earlier than 5.20 will not be readable on the SD Card from firmware 5.40 and onward. Backup important recordings and reformat the SD Card after the firmware upgrade. 5.50.2:L07 Check and repair is only available if the file system is ext4. 5.50.2:L08 The AXIS Media Control client may stop displaying the H.264 video stream after the PC has been locked. 5.50.2:L09 Live view does not work with QuickTime player using default settings. Workaround: Disable Direct3D acceleration in Quicktime. 5.50.2:L10 When using an action rule results in short recordings, it is recommended to extend post-event time. 5.50.2:L11 To avoid corrupt recordings, it is recommended to unmount the SD Card before ejecting it. 5.50.2:L12 For actions based on PTZ events, it is not possible to use the #P (PTZ preset name) and #p (PTZ preset number) modifiers in the file names for network share uploads. 5.50.2:L13 It's not recommended to downgrade to previous firmware when having HTTPS enabled. 5.50.2:L14 Video overlay text size is a global setting and can not be set for each stream profile. 5.50.2:L15 If text overlay is more than 460 characters long, no text will be displayed 5.50.2:L16 Private keys need to be in a PKCS#1 format in order to function. 5.50.2:L17 The resolutions of the pre-defined profiles have changed. Quality, Balanced and Bandwidth uses default resolution, which is equal to the highest available resolution. Mobile uses the lowest resolution. 5.50.2:L18 For network share passwords, the character comma (,) is not allowed. 5.50.2:L19 Not possible to view live or recorded video in Internet Explorer 10 Modern UI in Microsoft Windows 8. 5.50.2:L20 Occasionally, G711 audio can lag when using Java applet. 5.50.2:L21 Embedded Motion Detection: When object size is set to low and sensitivity set to high, motion detection can occasionally be triggered when switching the IR filter on/off.
