How to adjust the focus on the AXIS 212 PTZ

The AXIS 212 PTZ/-V focus is set before shipping but may need to be adjusted before the installation is completed.

First check if your camera has a fixing screw, then follow the appropriate instructions below to adjust focus: 

AXIS 212 PTZ

  1. Focus is set when the camera is at maximum zoom; click on a suitable detail in the image to instantly zoom in.
  2. Rotate the metal focus adjustment ring to set focus.
  3. Complete the installation as described in the AXIS 212 PTZ/-V Installation Guide. 

AXIS 212 PTZ with fixing screw

  1. Focus is set when the camera is at maximum zoom, i.e. click on a suitable detail in the image to instantly zoom in.
  2. Loosen the fixing screw on the base of the camera unit.
  3. Rotate the metal focus adjustment ring to set focus.
  4. Once satisfied with the image, gently tighten the fixing screw to secure the focus setting.
  5. Complete the installation as described in the AXIS 212 PTZ/-V Installation Guide.
