AXIS D2050-VE Network Radar Detector and AXIS Device Manager win awards, with honorable mention for AXIS P1280-E Thermal Network Camera

Axis Communications, the global leader in network video, announced today that the company secured two wins and one honorable mention at SIA’s New Product Showcase (NPS) during ISC West 2018 on April 12. Axis won in the “Intrusion Detection and Prevention Solutions” category for the AXIS D2050-VE Network Radar Detector and the “Tools and Hardware” category for the AXIS Device Manager. The company also received an honorable mention in the “Video Surveillance Advanced Imaging Technologies” category for the AXIS P1280-E Thermal Network Camera.

“We are humbled to once again receive these prestigious awards from the Security Industry Association, and are eager to share these innovative solutions with our valued partners and end-users,” said Fredrik Nilsson, VP, Americas, Axis Communications, Inc. “We are committed to delivering innovative, best-in-class solutions that meet the unique needs of our partners and end users and contribute to a safer, smarter world.”

The AXIS D2050-VE Network Radar Detector, which won in the “Intrusion Detection and Prevention Solutions” category, delivers advanced radar technology and intelligent algorithms as a first line of defense for perimeter detection installations. The solution provides cost-efficient perimeter protection day and night and is not sensitive to things that often trigger false alarms, like shadows and weather. In addition, the solution is compatible with major video management software and PTZ cameras, allowing for easy integration with existing cameras and surveillance systems.

Winner of the “Design and Installation Tools” category, the AXIS Device Manager is an on-premise tool that delivers an easy, cost-effective and secure way for security installers and system administrators to manage all major installation, maintenance tasks, and cybersecurity certificate management. It’s compatible with most Axis devices and delivers fast, easy configurations across new devices with backup and restore settings. AXIS Device Manager allows you to manage a couple thousand devices on one site or several thousand devices on multiple sites, cutting down on installation time from an industry average of 106 hours to just 30 minutes.

The AXIS P1280-E Thermal Network Camera, which received an honorable mention in the “Video Surveillance Advanced Imaging Technologies” category, delivers the benefits of thermal detection in a small, discreet size, unique in the modular thermal market, allowing for flexible installation in indoor/outdoor locations with limited space. The discreet size and thermal technology helps provide security without compromising privacy, perfect for schools or care homes. With a powerful processor to support built-in or advanced third-party analytics, the camera can trigger alerts in response to incidents, like a patient falling.

“We are thrilled that all three of our products were recognized by SIA and the NPS judges,” said Ryan Zatolokin, Senior Technologist at Axis Communications. “We’re proud to help advance the security industry through innovative technology solutions.”

This is the fifth consecutive year that Axis has earned a NPS award win at ISC West. In 2017, Axis took home two wins, winning the “Tools and Hardware” award for its AXIS Site Designer and the “Video Surveillance Cameras IP” category for its AXIS Q6155-E PTZ Dome.

Since its inception in 1979, the New Product Showcase has been the security industry's premier awards-based marketing program. The full list of award winners can be found by visiting
