Axis Communications hosts inaugural Secure the Future event
The inaugural Axis Communications Secure the Future event was held on May 20th at Axis’ North American headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. There were over 20 students from Greater Lowell Technical High School in attendance. The engineering students were welcomed by Fredrik Nilsson, VP, Americas, Axis Communications, Inc. who gave opening remarks, that highlighted his career path to his current role at Axis. The students learned about the security industry, what the future of it looks like and what skillset they need to enter into it. Additionally, they received a tour of the newly renovated Axis Experience Center and its technologies.
The event also highlighted potential career opportunities in the industry and resume-building skills. Following the presentations and tour, the students enjoyed a brief networking lunch with the Axis management team and employees.
The mission of the Axis Communications Secure the Future Program is to provide opportunities to learn more about the security industry and related careers, skills and internships through site tours, career fairs, demonstrations and presentations as well as events at Axis Experience Centers. It is intended to inspire students of all ages – from secondary and vocational schools to higher education and anyone considering a new career – to explore the security and technology industry.
