On October 16, Axis Communications hosted its Partner Day in Munich, Germany. At the event, Axis CEO Ray Mauritsson shared exciting insights around the diverse corporate world, as well as a strategic outlook to the future. Additionally, the event played host to the Axis Partner Awards 2019, which included the first-time "Woman in Security" award, for exceptionally dedicated women in the security industry.

For many years, the Axis Communications Partner Program has been providing one of the largest exchanges to discuss the specific needs of network-based solutions. As an industry leader, Axis provides a broad portfolio of intelligent video, audio and access control solutions that can be adapted to different applications and industry segments, thanks to the collaboration of partners with various areas of expertise. In the spirit of a trusting cooperation between manufacturer and sales partner, the motto of this Partner Day was "Trust".

Axis builds on partners, corporate culture and sustainability

The event was opened by Edwin Roobol, Regional Director Middle Europe. “The Partner Program is really important for Axis,” he said. “We are proud to work with you and to share this bond of trust.” Exciting keynote speeches covered the many solutions and business areas Axis is involved with, and their respective developments. Current market developments, and future strategies in Central Europe were also among the topics covered.

In his own speech, Axis Chief Executive Officer Ray Mauritsson addressed the current challenges to privacy, trade restrictions and ethical discussions, as well as the company’s successful growth of the past 15 years. Major overarching factors in this success, according to Mauritsson, have been technical innovation, sustainability and a supportive corporate culture.

Technology as a key to future success

Chief Technology Officer Johan Paulsson described in his presentation the importance of technology as the key to future success. He spoke of an era of trust, and of the opportunities that artificial intelligence will bring. The goal of Axis Communications is to continue the development of state-of-the-art technological innovations for different IP application areas, in line with data protection regulations and with flexible expansion options. Recently, the development of the seventh generation of the owned ARTPEC chip has been an important milestone.

At the Partner Day, Axis not only talked about current topics and developments, but also treated visitors to a guest lecture with exclusive insight into the work of ex-secret agent Leo Martin. As a seasoned criminal investigator and interrogation expert, Leo is now Managing Director of the Institute for Forensic Text Analysis and is helping companies to uncover attacks or threats. In his presentation, he shared interesting and entertaining insights into the world of forensic criminology and behavioral analysis.
