Course description

Network Video Fundamentals is a comprehensive course, covering the essentials of network video. Topics such as basic camera installation, image usability, bit rate optimization and video analytics are explored in theory lessons combined with hands-on labs.

You will learn a wide variety of video surveillance basics, such as:

  • Camera technology and setup
  • Selecting the appropriate camera type and placement
  • Ways to save bandwidth and storage
  • Intelligent applications

Who should attend?

Professionals working with system integration and network video design. Prerequisites: In order to get the most out of the training, you need to have an understanding of networks in an IP video context.
Prerequisites: Before attending Network Video Fundamentals we strongly recommend all students spend 30 minutes on Axis’ web-based Basic Networks Training to confirm their network knowledge.

Axis Video Management Software

Length: 1 day

Course description

Axis Designing Mid-sized Solutions is a technical course, giving you the skills you need to successfully deploy and manage:

• AXIS Camera Station (5 hours)
• AXIS Companion (2 hours) Video management software is explored in both theory lessons and hands-on labs.

Course objectives

AXIS Camera Station; you will learn how to:

  • Plan, install and use AXIS Camera Station

  • Set up events

  • Navigate between live view and play back recordings

  • Handle camera and parameter management

 

AXIS Companion; you will learn how to:

  • Install and use AXIS Companion

  • Set up recordings and storage options

  • Retrieve and export recordings

Getting to know Axis Audio Systems

Yes, many audio systems are still analogue, but network audio is quickly becoming an attractive option for increased security and business optimization. Typical analogue systems are complex and need specialized knowledge. Axis network audio solutions provide increased flexibility when it comes to integrating with other systems, such as access control and cameras.

Get to know Axis network audio systems is a classroom course introducing Axis network audio systems and how to take full advantage of the benefits of a network audio system. You will learn about how a network audio system can be used intelligently for public address, security, and background music. The course contains both theory and practical exercises to teach you how to set up and configure a network audio system.

  • Plan, set up and configure an Axis network audio system
  • Connect a 2N SIP Mic to a zone of network speakers for live public address system
  • Schedule music and announcements using AXIS Audio Player

Systems integrators, consultants and installers interested in building a
solution for perimeter and area protection

Prerequisites: 
Underwent a course on Network Video Fundamentals and AXIS Camera Station
Familiarity with Axis products and technologies
