Axis launches 2021 Sustainability Report

By implementing a number of initiatives and continuously assessing results against objectives, Axis made further progress towards its sustainability goals in 2021.
Highlights of the 2021 Sustainability Report include:
Assessing the potential human rights impacts of products
During 2021, Axis performed an assessment of the potential human rights impacts of its products
and solutions. This assessment included end users and destination countries, as well as the company’s business model and governance. The initiative will continue throughout 2022.
Further moves towards anti-corruption
During 2021, Axis adopted a new group anti-corruption policy and all Axis representatives (including employees, contingent workers and consultants, as well as management and board members) were required to go through anti-corruption training.
An enhanced role in surveillance solution cybersecurity
Axis was approved as a Common Vulnerability and Exposures (CVE) Numbering Authority (CNA), authorizing the company to assign and publish CVE IDs to vulnerabilities in its products.
Extended ISO/IEC 27001 certification for Axis ISMS
Axis prepared and submitted an application for extended ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). The audit for compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 was completed by an accredited third-party certification body and approval of the extended scope was received in December 2021.
Increasingly sustainable cameras
In 2021, Axis launched AXIS Q1656, its first camera containing the biobased plastic EcoPAXX: a high-performance polyamide, which is made from renewable castor bean oil and is carbon neutral from cradle to end of life. Axis also increased the number of BFR/CFR-free products in its portfolio.

Axis operations in the USA were ranked as #1 according to Great Place to Work Fortune Best
Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production (Small and Medium), while Japan, Singapore and Australia were added to the list of countries where Axis is a Great Place to Work certified.
