In general, Axis print servers support all networkable printers. All printers that use internal computing capacity for generating printouts (i.e. that do not rely on a host computer's processor) can be networked. This is how printers normally operate.
Printer types with limited support
Host-based printers Host-based printers, typically low-cost printers aimed for personal use, are using printing technologies (GDI, CAPT and PPA) that make them impossible to network - unless specially adopted drivers are used. Axis general purpose print servers do not support this type of printers. More information.
Multi Functional Printers In most cases, Axis print servers support printing but not scanning in Multi Functional Printers (MFP:s).
